Love this! I’ve read the Little House books every few years to my kids, since I have such a wide range of ages. It’s interesting to see what stands out to me each time I cycle through. I loved the story behind the poem!

Joy, have you ever read the historical fiction book "Caroline" by Sarah Miller? I think you'd really love that point of view, it's Little House on the Prairie, retold from Ma's perspective!

Another good one Lindsay. Love your pics going thru the process with us as to how to make the redacted poem work.

Can't go wrong with Laura Ingalls Wilder, Mommacita

I NEED to make the Dakota trip you took recently! Staying in a covered wagon-- dreams come true! Did you see her place in Missouri yet? I enjoyed visiting the rock house + seeing where she wrote all the books, it was such a delight.

Also a Laura Ingalls Wilder fan. Love your thoughts here, and like Joy said, the story behind the poem.
