I think it's Aundi Kolber who says that we chase what feels familiar, even if it's not what is best for us - and that is so true with the constant need to pack, say goodbye and move! Unfamiliar = dangerous to our bodies, and that takes time to unpack (haha, unpack, whoops 😅)
Thank you for sharing your thoughts as you process! I can relate to being hesitant to fully let myself fall in love with something if I’m not sure how permanent it’s going to be. I can’t imagine how much harder that would be after years of knowing a home is temporary. I hope you find joy and contentment in the process of decorating your new home with your forever people 💚
I’m hesitant to hang things on the walls of my “forever home.” I’m the one to patch and repair if I make a mistake. And should put more thought into my decorating now that I get to stay rather than making do with what I have? I may start hanging things in the primary bedroom today. We’ll see! Happy to journey alongside you in this era of change—of a different sort this time!
I love your vulnerability and honesty! What you shared relates to much of life in general, with being both excited about all of the possibilities while also concerned with the permanency of it all as well.

I can only imagine how weird it feels after all these years of moving! But it sounds like a lovely house!
Your perspective is so hopeful and beautiful!

"dream people"- love that thought! It's so true that it's the people that make a place.
I love this, Lindsay! Sounds like the perfect spot for you guys.
